| FAQ. 1.What is a Coil Sprung Mattress? This is the traditional style of mattress where there are rows of springs, with a coil running from head to toe of the mattress. This in turn connects each row to the left and right of it. 2.What is a Pocket Sprung Mattress?. This is when you have individual springs standing in a separate pocket of material; these springs are not connected and give a much softer more luxurious feel. The number of individual springs can vary from 1200 to 2000. 3.What is Visco Elastic Memory Foam? Visco Elastic Memory Foam was originally developed by N.A.S.A to counteract the incredible G Force experienced by astronauts during lift off. A set mould of each astronauts shape would not support properly if there was any movement, in fact it would damage the spine. Visco takes your total shape, cocooning the body and returning to its original shape once the pressure decreases. It is generally accepted that this type of mattress gives a better nights sleep because it moulds effectively, eases the pressure points, and virtually removes the tossing and turning one associates with an uncomfortable mattress. |
